Two sweaters is good

I had plenty to entertain myself yesterday.  Our internet was quite firmly out till close to noon.  It's funny, but I bet the hue and cry was bigger for the internet outage than it ever is for a power outage.

I spent my whole weekend working on my yellow Hiraeth sweater.

It's starting to look like a garment! And yes.  It really is that strong of a yellow.  It is quite glorious.

I had just joined at the underarms here and I was pretty thrilled.  I have not tried it on just yet.  I like to have a good couple inches knit below the underarm before I do that.  I like that little bit of firmness that it gives before I stretch it all out while I check fit. Next week.

Today I am going back to my sock Monkey or farmer sock sweater.  I love that thing.

It's odd but when I looked in the bag this morning, I realized, I missed working on it this weekend.  It was my plan to not work on whatever I was usually working on.  When I was doing that in summer, it kept my spirits feeling bright and peppy and I felt eager to get back to my main project.  It worked again.  However, this morning, I want stolid ordinary things.  Sock Monkey sweater it shall be.

And that is it for the morning.  Time for a good cup of coffee and some morning knitting between chores.
