I did join the underarms and am fairly confident that it will fit as I hope. Maybe next weekend I will see her and can get her to try it on.
Not very much knitting is it? Part of that is the needles. I am using wood needles which I don't really care to use with acrylics. There is no sloppiness or sliding of yarn and needles. Knitting it is work. Not hard work but more than usual.
Part of it is the yarn itself. This is an unusual yarn for an acrylic.
It is made of very fine strands of two ply yarn and they are all twisted together. A cable ply is what I think they call it. This unusual structure is what I think gives it the difference between this and other acrylic yarns.
It's also what is slowing me down. Those little strands are splitty. Every time I miss a bit of the yarn, I have to catch it again. It means a lot of slow knitting to preserve the smooth roundness of the yarn.
Knitting will continue today and I hope I get a bit more in than yesterday.
