More than I thought

Yes.  I am still here.  No.  I am not sewing.  I am asking myself why not but that inner me has decided to stay silent.  Maybe today.

There is knitting though.  I have finally finished the green section I was on.

It is starting to look like a sweater!  I love this part.

Hold on. I only just now realized that it's only been a couple of days according to the blog, but it feels like it has been weeks.  Maybe I need to reassess how fast I think I am knitting.  I generally was knitting 8 to 10 rows a day but this week it has been 6 tops.  However 6 rows is half a stripe.  Two days is a stripe.  That is not so bad at all.  I need to stop thinking I am not doing enough.

I am set and ready for broken rib stripe 4 of 5.  I hope.  I think that, with a generous green bit and a hem of some sort, I will be at the length I want for this sweater.

There is part of me that is screaming that this wants to be a short sunny short sleeved top.  However, this yarn says winter sweater.  Held, double as it is, it speaks calmly of cozy warm wear in front of a fire with cocoa in hand.  I can't get past the yarn so winter sweater it is.

It is going to be another one of those days.  It isn't just me.  Even the air feels sluggish and heavy.  And moist.  It is oddly humid for a cool day and I am not used to that at all.  I hope to get into the sewing room this  afternoon to get a start cutting but who knows.  Might be a puzzle afternoon.
