Oh Dear

Oh.  Dear me.

I took the hat with me to babysit the kids and let me tell you.  there is nothing sadder than a 5 year olds face when he sees his hat and does not like it.

Sigh.

Grandma needs more orange.  And luckily, with all this weeding through the stash, I found some solid orange that will work very nicely with these other colours to knit 2 x 2 for the main part of the hat.  And red.  Apparently I forgot the red that he wants.

Knitting for a 5 year old is hard.
